Chairman

Mr. Julius Kpekpena is an Associate of GHAFES from IHCF-KNUST. He is married and has a son. He was the Director of Engineering for ECG but currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA)

Isaac Mensah-Newton
Ag National Director

Mr. Isaac Mensah-Newton is product of University of Cape Coast where he received his first degree.

He has an MBA in Project Management-2016 (Wisconson International College), BSc (Hons) in Agriculture-2015/2016 (University of Cape-Coast), Certificate in Project Management- 2007 (Merjja Technologies)

Yaw Appiah Lartey
Senior Treasurer

I have particular experience in providing advisory services, including performing financial and business analysis, advising on the buy and sell side for private sector, valuations, financial modeling as well as managing and performing assignments to tight timetables for a wide range of public and private sector clients, including experience of a broad range of infrastructure.

Martin Obeng
Member

Rev. Martin Obeng was trained as a Mechanical Engineer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He worked with Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES) for 9 years as Travelling Secretary. He had further studies at Wheaton College, Illinois in Biblical Theology.

He taught at Christian College in Kumasi and furthered his education at the University of Cape Coast. Rev. Obeng currently teaches Old Testament at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon. He is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and pastoring Living Streams Congregation, Ashiyie New Town. He is married to Veronica and has 3 children.

Kwesi Amanor
Member

Mr. Kwesi Amanor is currently the General Manager of Blue Ocean Investments Limited. He began his career at Tema Offshore Mooring Limited in 2006 as an Admin Officer and rose through the ranks quite rapidly to become the Deputy General Manager in 2009. He was a member of GHAFES during his time at KNUST and became the SNEC Secretary during his second year. He was also a member of Gospel Explosion, the music wing of the fellowship. He is married to Benita, they have two children; Nasya and Jedd

Francisca Adarkwa-Ahwireng
Member

Works with Barclays Bank as the Service Experience Manager for Retail Banking. She also worked with Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT) in Tamale from 1999 to 2006. While in Tamale, she served as a member of the Zonal Advisory Council of GHAFES – Northern Zone. She has kept faith with GHAFES over the years and contributed in various ways to the ministry. She is married to Emmanuel and they have two (2) girls.

Bernice Asiedu
Member

Holds a BA. in Psychology from the University of Ghana. Whilst on campus, she was the President of the Literary Wing of UCF - Legon. She attends Assemblies Of God-Ghana and loves counselling and children's ministry. She's currently the Zonal Ministry Coordiantor for the South East Zone. She is married to Mr. Paul Asiedu, and are blessed with two daughters

Rosemond Boohene
Member

Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Aboagyewa Boohene is the Director of the Centre for International Education, University of Cape Coast and immediate past Head of Management Studies Department and Vice Dean of the School of Business, University of Cape Coast. She is an Associate Professor of entrepreneurship and a Management Consultant with more than eighteen (18) years’ experience. She was a member of GHAFES-UCC from 1989 to 1993. She also served as the Treasurer and Auditor for GHAFES at the same institution. She is married with four children

Hannah Agbozo
Member

Mrs. Hannah Agbozo oversees Airtel Ghana’s legal and corporate affairs functions with the objective of protecting the company’s interest. She is also the Company Secretary of Airtel Ghana, supporting the Board of Directors with legal advice. She has represented Airtel Ghana Limited on the Board of Trustees of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications from July 2009 till date. She was an executive of GHAFES during her time at University of Ghana - Legon.

Frances Owusu Daaku
Member

Prof. Mrs. Frances Owusu-Daaku is an Associate Professor in Social Pharmacy, former Head of the Department of Clinical and Social Pharmacy, and former Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is also a member of FIP (International Pharmacists Federation) and a founding Fellow of the Ghana College of Pharmacists. She is married to Dr. Owusu-Daaku.

Kwasi Dartey-Baah
Member

Dr. Kwasi Dartey-Baah is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and Head of the Department of Organisation and Human Resource Management (OHRM). He holds a PhD in Leadership and Human Resource Development from Trinity College Newburgh, USA and Canterbury University, United Kingdom and engineering degrees from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and the Imperial College, London. He is a scholar of the Center for Promoting Ideas, USA, fellow of the Ghana Institute of Management; a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK; a member of the Institution of Highways and Transport; UK and a corporate member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE). He chaired the Ghana Institution of Engineers Strategic Planning Committee from 2014 to 2015.

GHAFES is governed by an Executive Council comprised of godly men and women who provide the strategic policy framework to ensure that GHAFES achieves its mission.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as trustees for GHAFES
  • Appointing and ensuring the welfare and development of officers, staff workers and other employees or agents of GHAFES
  • Supporting the officers and staff workers with prayer and counsel.
  • Ensuring that funds are raised and administered on behalf of GHAFES
  • Ensuring the growth of the student and Associate fellowships and friends who shall be encouraged to support GHAFES through prayer, financing and participating in its program.
  • Generally acting as an Advisory body to the student’s National Executive Committee, Associate Executive Committee and making recommendations to the Annual General Meeting.
  • Monitoring and evaluating ministry performance.
  • Ensuring that all stakeholders adhere to ministry tenets and objectives.
