Ing. Kwame Kpekpena served as the 6th Board Chairman of the Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES) from 2018 to 2026.
His journey with GHAFES began in 1987, when he joined the Inter-Halls Christian Fellowship, the GHAFES campus branch at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). During his undergraduate years, he served as the Assistant Secretary of the Fellowship for two academic years.
After graduating in 1991, Ing. Kpekpena remained an active Associate of GHAFES. In 2010, he responded to an invitation to serve on the Governing Board of the Fellowship. His years of faithful service eventually led to his appointment as the 6th Board Chairman of GHAFES in 2018, a position he held until 2026.
Ing. Kpekpena is married to Enyonam, also a GHAFES Associate, and together they have a son, Senam.
Professionally, he is an Electrical Engineer and Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineering, with over 24 years of experience in the electric utility industry. He has held several senior management positions at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), including Director of Engineering, and previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA).
He holds a Master of Science degree in Energy and a Diploma in Theology, bringing together professional expertise and a deep commitment to Christian ministry. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC).
Ing. Kpekpena and his family worship at Lighthouse Chapel International, Cornerstone Cathedral, Tema.
