GHAFES NLTS 2026: Raising Christlike Leaders for Campus and Nation.

A Gathering Focused on Transformation
The Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES) successfully organized the 2026 National Leadership Training Seminar (NLTS) from 2nd to 5th April 2026 at the Nduom School of Business and Technology. The impactful gathering brought together 365 participants, including 342 student delegates, 20 staff members, and 3 associates, all united under the theme: “Transformed to Live and Lead Like Christ.”
The seminar served as a transformational platform aimed at equipping tertiary student leaders with biblical leadership principles, discipleship strategies, spiritual formation, and practical ministry skills for effective campus and national impact.

The Vision Behind NLTS 2026
NLTS continues to stand as one of GHAFES’ flagship leadership development initiatives. Rooted in Romans 12:2 and Philippians 2:5-6, the conference challenged participants to embrace Christlike leadership through service, stewardship, humility, and spiritual maturity.
The conference objectives included:
• Equipping student leaders for Scripture-based discipleship.
• Building leadership competence and authentic Christian spirituality.
• Strengthening campus fellowships across Ghana.
• Raising a new generation of servant leaders for church and society.

Powerful Teachings and Leadership Insights
The four-day seminar featured a rich blend of Bible expositions, plenary sessions, worship, mentorship meetings, workshops, seminars, and strategic ministry discussions.
Dr. Yaw Perbi, the main expositor, challenged delegates to rethink leadership through the model of Christ. He emphasized that true leadership is rooted in discipleship, service, and transformation rather than titles or power.
Several plenary sessions addressed key themes such as:
• Leadership capacity and influence.
• Vision-driven leadership.
• Student ministry for global impact.
• Leading Gen Z in a digital culture.
• Developing essential leadership abilities.
Practical Seminar Sessions for Student Leaders
Participants also attended practical seminar sessions covering mentorship, fundraising, leadership succession, financial stewardship, emotional resilience, public speaking, social media influence, conflict management, time management, and maintaining holiness on campus.
These sessions provided practical tools and strategies to help student leaders navigate ministry, academics, relationships, and leadership responsibilities effectively.

Moments of Prayer and Worship
Prayer and worship remained central throughout the conference experience. Dawn prayers, intercessory moments, and vibrant worship sessions created an atmosphere of spiritual renewal and surrender.
Participants described the worship moments as refreshing, healing, and deeply transformational.
Mentorship and Discipleship in Action
One of the highlights of NLTS 2026 was the mentorship structure. Delegates were grouped into mentoring communities where they received guidance on leadership, academics, ministry, and personal growth.
The mentorship sessions fostered accountability, honest conversations, and intentional discipleship among participants.

Celebrating GHAFES @ 60
As part of the GHAFES @ 60 celebrations, participants reflected on the rich legacy of the movement and its contribution to national and spiritual transformation over the decades.
Inspirational stories were shared about former GHAFES members who are now serving faithfully in ministry, leadership, academia, engineering, governance, and other sectors of society.

Lives Transformed: Participants’ Impact Stories
Several delegates shared testimonies about how the seminar transformed their perspectives on leadership, discipleship, humility, and personal growth.
Many participants expressed renewed passion for ministry, intentional discipleship, servant leadership, and deeper intimacy with God. Others highlighted breakthroughs in emotional maturity, conflict management, time management, and spiritual discipline.
Looking Ahead
The 2026 National Leadership Training Seminar ended with renewed passion, strengthened fellowship networks, and a deeper commitment among delegates to live and lead like Christ on their campuses and beyond.
As GHAFES continues to invest in raising transformational leaders, NLTS remains a strategic platform for shaping young people who will impact the Church, society, and the nations for Christ.
